Our own State Sen. Monty Mason is giving 500 backpacks to the annual Back to School event sponsored by 757 Giveback and Real People Educating Others. This event, held at Lafayette High School on Aug. 21, gets bigger every year -- providing families in need with everything they need to start their kids back to school from haircuts to backpacks to school supplies and a lot more.
