Newport News Canvass for Mike Mullin

Cornhole Tournament and Benefit for Mark Downey

Come to a cornhole tournament in support of Mark Downey, M.D., candidate for the Virginia House of Delegates, 96th district! Sign up here. Prizes will be awarded to the top teams. The tournament entry fee is $50 per player ($100 for a team of 2 players). If you do not RSVP with a partner, you will be assigned a partner at the tournament. This event will be held rain or shine. School Supplies Drive and Candidate Canvass

Our own State Sen. Monty Mason is giving 500 backpacks to the annual Back to School event sponsored by 757 Giveback and Real People Educating Others. This event, held at Lafayette High School on Aug. 21, gets bigger every year -- providing families in need with everything they need to start their kids back to school from haircuts to backpacks to school supplies and a lot more. Let's help fill Monty's backpacks with school supplies: • highlighters • pencils and pens • paper (wide and single-ruled) • colored pencils • washable markers • 24-count crayons • glue sticks • composition notebooks • scissors • index cards • 3-ring binders Bring them to our HQ at 113K Palace Lane from 10 am-2 pm on Saturday, July 24. Early voting begins for Nov. 2 election

Early voting begins Friday, Sept. 17 and continues through October 3o.  Voting is Monday through Friday, along with two Saturdays, Oct. 23 and Oct. 30.  Voters registered in James City County vote at the Vote Center, JCC Rec Center, 5301 Longhill Rd., Williamsburg 23188. Monday-Friday 8 am - 5 pm. Saturdays, Oct. 23 and Oct. 30 from 9 am-5 pm.  Voters registered in the City of Williamsburg vote at the Municipal Building, 401 Lafayette St., Williamsburg 23185. Monday-Friday plus two Saturdays, Oct. 23 and Oct. 30, from 8 am to 4:3o pm.
