Our candidates for 2026

This year we elect a Senator and members of the House of Representatives. Our Democratic nominee for Senate is Sen. Mark Warner, who is unopposed for the Democratic nomination.

After the Supreme Court of Virginia overturned the redistricting referendum, the entire Historic Triangle — James City and York counties and the cities of Williamsburg and Poquoson — remains in the First Congressional District (CD-1).

The primary election to select our Democratic candidate for CD-1 will be Tuesday, August 4, with early voting in the primary beginning Thursday, June 18 (because Friday is Juneteenth, a holiday). This year’s early voting schedule will include the last two Saturdays and Sundays. More information about voting times and locations here.
